2.Overview

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide this website and to handle your enquiries. We do not use cookies, store nothing in your browser and use no analytics, advertising or tracking services.

3.Website hosting and delivery

This website is provided via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This serves to deliver the website securely, quickly and reliably and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as our processor. Data may be transferred to the USA in this context; Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR).

4.Contact form

If you write to us via the contact form, we process your details (name, email address, message and, optionally, company, phone number and the service required) in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To transmit the form, we use the form service Web3Forms (Web3Creative, Kerala, India; servers in the USA). The service forwards your details to us by email and, according to its own information, does not store any form entries; it states that it routinely deletes its server logs after two months. The transfer to India and the USA takes place because it is necessary to process your enquiry (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). If you would prefer to avoid this, simply email us directly.

5.Contact by email

If you email us or we reply to an enquiry, we process your details in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Our emails are handled via Google Workspace, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which acts as our processor. Data may be transferred to the USA in this context; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).

6.Enquiry assistant

The assistant on our website guides you through predefined options. It runs entirely in your browser, does not use any external services and does not store the conversation: it is deleted when you close the page. Only when you open the contact form from the assistant are the selected service and your request carried over into the form as a suggestion – nothing is sent until you submit the form yourself.

7.Fonts

The fonts used are delivered directly from our own server. No connection is made to servers of Google or other font providers when a page is loaded.

8.Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, does not store any data in your browser and does not use any analytics or tracking services. Should this change, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent beforehand.

9.Retention period

We delete enquiries once they have been fully dealt with, provided no statutory retention obligations apply. Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted after 6 months at the latest.

We retain business-related correspondence in line with the retention periods under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO: 6 and 10 years respectively).

Cloudflare only processes the connection data generated when you visit the website for as long as is necessary for secure delivery and to fend off attacks. We ourselves do not store or analyse any server log files.

10.Your rights

You have the right of access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and the rights to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal message to contact@wswstudio.com is sufficient.

11.Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

12.Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW) – the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia
Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany
Postal address: Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf
Phone: +49 211 38424-0 · Email: poststelle@ldi.nrw.de

13.SSL/TLS encryption

This website is delivered exclusively via encrypted HTTPS (TLS). You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in the address bar and the padlock icon in your browser.
